Nigerians have responded to the recent price adjustments in DStv and GOtv subscription packages by Multichoice.

The company has clarified its reasons for raising all subscription fees.

According to reports, this is the second increase in four months and the third within a year.

Multichoice Nigeria unveiled the price adjustments for all DStv and GOtv packages on April 25, 2024, with the new prices set to come into effect from May 1, 2024.

In March 2022, Multichoice previously raised prices, followed by another increase in April 2023.

Another adjustment occurred in December 2023. Multichoice attributes the latest price hike to escalating business operation costs.

The statement reads: “On Wednesday, 1 May 2024 we will adjust our prices across all our packages on DStv and GOtv.

“We understand the impact this change may have on you our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations has led us to make this difficult decision.

“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to you and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service.”
