The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied having presidential ambitions for the 2027 election.

A poster circulating on social media claimed he would contest with Governor Hope Uzodimma as his running mate. Ganduje labeled the poster as “entirely false”.

Ganduje’s spokesman, Edwin Olofu, issued a statement dismissing the poster and reaffirming Ganduje’s loyalty to President Bola Tinubu. The statement claimed the poster was created to sow discord between Ganduje and Tinubu. Ganduje believes Tinubu is steering Nigeria towards greatness.

The APC chairman urged the public to disregard the fabricated story. He emphasized his commitment to supporting Tinubu’s vision and leadership. Ganduje’s loyalty to Tinubu remains unwavering.

Japan, Nigeria Strengthen Ties

Japan’s Foreign Minister, Kamikawa Yoko, met with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, to deepen bilateral relations.

They discussed enhancing cooperation in various sectors, particularly business and economic relations. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development Ministerial Meeting.
