Minister of Culture: Tinubu is Committed to Addressing Economic Hardship

The Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is dedicated to alleviating the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians, to the extent that he doesn’t sleep.

Musawa made this statement on Arise TV, emphasizing that the federal government is working hard to meet the demands of protesters.

According to Musawa, the issue between the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protesters and the federal government is a communication breakdown. She explained, “Now, the other part that you spoke about, about the fallout, so to say, of the protest or what have you, what I think is this area, again, this space of the creativity and the space of the culture is the one language that will be able to, again, speak to the people.”

Musawa emphasized that President Tinubu is committed to creating a better life for Nigerians, stating, “He did not give himself to Nigeria and go into a long trajectory of politics just to fail.

He is here to be the best president that Nigeria has ever had. So all the policies that he has brought up, all the different initiatives, are to provide a better life for Nigeria.”

The Minister of Culture highlighted that the President is actively working to address the high cost of food, saying, “The President does not sleep.

He is a man who works literally 24 hours trying to find a way to reduce food prices.” Musawa assured that the government is listening to Nigerians, despite perceived communication barriers.

The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has condemned a viral video showing a lady filming her mentally unstable mother.

The minister described the video as disturbing, unacceptable, and potentially harmful. She emphasized that exploiting vulnerable individuals, especially those struggling with mental health issues, goes against the values of empathy and care.

The video, which has sparked outrage online, shows the lady engaging with her visibly unwell and unkempt mother. The lady claims her mother became mentally ill after her father’s death and has been living on the streets. Despite this, the lady visits her mother periodically with food and money.

Kennedy-Ohanenye urged the public to demonstrate compassion and understanding towards individuals suffering from mental health issues. She stated, “Mental illness demands compassion, understanding, and support – not ridicule or exploitation”.

The ministry is seeking information on the mother’s identity and condition to ensure proper care and protection.
