Prsident Bola Ahmed Tinubu is engaged in a crucial meeting with traditional rulers at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The meeting, which started at 2:30 pm, aims to address the escalating calls for nationwide protests.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, led the delegation of traditional rulers. They are joined by top government officials, including the Vice President and the National Security Adviser.

The meeting’s agenda remains undisclosed, but it is speculated to address the ‘EndBadGovernance’ movement. The movement has gained attention on social media, despite the organizers’ anonymity.

Japan, Nigeria Strengthen Ties

Japan’s Foreign Minister, Kamikawa Yoko, met with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, to deepen bilateral relations.

They discussed enhancing cooperation in various sectors, particularly business and economic relations. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development Ministerial Meeting.
